It’s more than the $49 annual fee and the $10 annual cost for Disney Visa, but if you can use them with these cards, this card’t far outweigh either of those cards.

There are a few cards that make 3% on travel-related purchases, but don’t have the other Disney benefits so this card is shrewdly good for you to earn and redeem rewards on Disney purchases.

There are also a number of cards that make more than the Disney Inspire on gas, groceries and everyday purchases – but again, if you value earning toward Disney discounts, this is the easiest way to do it.

Redeeming

Hence, this card earns Disney Rewards Dollars as stated above. The Disney Rewards Dollars are also available for redeeming on the gift card (Danney Rewards) and in-hand items and souvenirs; AMC Theatres Disney movie tickets; shopping at disneystore. Alternatively, you can also use Chase’s Pay Yourself Back option to redeem Disney Rewards Dollars for a statement credit on airline purchases. Please note that you have to use your Disney Inspire card and buy the airfare directly with the airline.

Potential drawbacks to the Disney Inspire Visa Card

The Disney Inspire’s redemption options are limited to Disney-specific purchases, and several cards offer better overall earning rates.

If you don’t know that you will go to Disney at least once a year, you can not take advantage of this card’s benefits such as annual statement credits and high earning rates on Disney purchases.

Is the Disney Inspire Visa Card worth it?

If you know you will go to a Disney theme park or take – at least once per year and then spend enough to meet the $2,000 threshold in hotel or cruise spending for 200 Disney Rewards Dollars and $200 on theme parks, this card is worth the statement credits and discounts that can offset the cost of your vacation.

If you go to Disney only once a few years, this card may not be the most appropriate for you in terms of earning and redeeming rewards.

The no-annual-fee Disney Visa is a good deal for those who are interested in the vacation discounts you have access to as if you’re able to get it off. As a regular Disney guest from the Inspire and in the Premier, if you choose between the Disney Inpire and the Disneyland Premier (the original one of those two), you’ll get more bang for your buck.

When to apply for the Disney Inspire Visa Card

When I’m told that you have a Disney trip coming up, my personal strategy would be to wait and apply for this card. That means you will be able to use the card’s welcome bonus and other Disney perks. It’s a newer option in the suite of cobranded Disney cards, so as this is the latest offer on the card it has ever been offered.

Once authorized by the new cardholders can receive a $300 electronic Disney gift card, plus $600 statement credit when they spend $1,000 on purchases during their first three months of account opening.

You open the card and book your vacation to meet the minimum spending requirement for earning the bonus. If you have $300 in a statement credit, then get ‘300 gift card on hand while traveling? Besides the annual statement credits you could earn, this is also as good as that of your vacation which does meet those spending requirements.

Other cards to consider if you don’t want the Disney Inspire Visa Card

Disney Inspire is a good option for those who prefer the simple nature of earning and redeeming rewards for purchases by only Disney, but you’d rather go with the DisneyInspire. Though, if not, consider these alternatives.

Bottom line

This is a sense of the Disney Inspire, as well as the other two Disney Visa cards, which makes it possible for frequent Disney visitors to make the most out of their card’s earning potential. But if you can’t use the benefits annually or want more flexible redemption options, it is better to go with a general travel rewards card that offers higher earning rates and has multiple redemptions.

For example, if you go to Disney or take an annual Disney cruise and have a subscription for the Disney+ program, then do no maths get it worth this card? The welcome bonus, the annual statement credits and in-park discounts will give you a lot of value.
