When you’re on a long, hard-working trip sometimes the most welcome thing in the world is an airport hotel with slick, fluffy bed waiting just for you at your airport.
There are hotels near the airport, and then there is actually a hotel inside the Airport just s few convenient steps away from arriving and departing flights – no shuttle buses or extra travel required.
That latter camp is firmly in the heart of Grand Hyatt DFW, which has been known as . The long-standing airport hotel, which has been one of the best airport hotels in the U.S. history, is located inside Terminal D at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), and it’s a former center for to be known as “the top” airport rooms. S. Adding to the edge A recent $34 million renovation has also helped with a new $phraser and.
Just recently TPG stepped inside for a first look at the newly renovated Grand Hyatt DFW, and it’s safe to say we’re already looking forward to our next excuse to stay in one of the hotel’ 315 modern rooms with runway views.

What’s new at the renovated Grand Hyatt DFW
This is the Grand Hyatt DFW remodel that touched virtually every corner of the hotel, so from the moment you check in to when you grab a cocktail at the bar and even when closing the automatic blackout shades for the night – you’re in an updated, modern room.
The hotel’s top floor has reverted from its former gym-era workout to an event space, with an indoor-outdoor area next to the rooftop pool (which is also equipped with runway views) as well as an outdoor fitness center. But if you’re looking to squeeze in a workout, there is – on the first floor — he said “There’s… i.e. Peloton bikes (so I can earn bonus Hyatt points while getting dubbed hyat) and other high-end fitness equipment.”

This also redesigned hotel’s guest room count from 298 to 315, giving guests even more time to book a room and spend the night at the same time.

This is a new look and an “inventive, internationally inspired menu” that goes beyond the standard burger and fries (though they do have that, too) at Grand Met Restaurant and Lounge of the hotel. There is also a menu with lump crabcake (smashed burrata), whipped burri and ‘ahi tuna crudo, black angus ribeye and filet mignon’.

A look inside the newly redesigned rooms
The rooms are the most important part of an airport hotel (along with its actual proximity to the airport) – where your goals probably consist of a hot shower and ability to sleep as long as you can before the next flight.

The grand Hyatt DFW refresh can be summed up by the renovated rooms, in many ways, as is the case with its revamped rooms. The look is partly based on the colors of Texas western prairies (greens, blues and browns) but also has aviation-inspired elements such as planespotting books, end tables like wings and plane art even carpeting similar to aerial view of DFW’s gates and terminals.
Of course, there are large TVs and modern touches like integrated lighting, more outlets and charging ports. The bathrooms are also brighter, with larger vanities and even soaking tubs in some rooms.

Location: Staying inside DFW Airport
It is one of the best parts of Grand Hyatt DFW its location – that has been exactly the same. The security of Terminal D is just steps away and, unless you want to take in the runway views from the rooftop pool, no one even has to step outside for going from airport to your room at Grand Hyatt DFW.

How to book the Grand Hyatt DFW with points
The only downside to the Grand Hyatt DFW is that it’s pricier than you might expect for an airport hotel.
And yet again, we are discussing what might be the best (and most convenient) airport hotel in the country is priced accordingly; cash rates often go up to $400 per night and points rates currently range from 17,000 to 23,000 World of Hyatt points per nights as a Category 5 property.

The Hyatt Regency DFW (currently a Category 3 Hatted property) and the Hyperatten Placed DW (a category 2 property), with award rates of just 6,500 World of HyATties per night, are also available for stay at if you want to remain near DFD at what is likely less expensive.
TPG Tip : You can transfer points to Hyatt from both Bilt Rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards.
Bottom line
Aside from the runway view rooms and the in-terminal proximity and convenience or the new $34 million renovation touches that make it an even nicer hotel, a Grand Hyatt DFW is one of the best places to stay overnight at DW.
