After opening in 2023, Impression Isla Mujere has been on TPG’S radar since the property opened up. Several years ago, when she visited Impression Moxche by Secrets, the first Impressive resort and two years later, one of our directors was impressed with The Impress brand a luxury, adults-only offshoot of Hyatt’s all-inclusive brand SecretS – that had already impressed her.

I had the opportunity to see the brand’s Isla Mujeres outpost in Mexico, just off the coast of buzzy Cancun.

What it’s like at Impression Isla Mujeres

In the dream scenario guests will be swept away on a property-exclusive catamaran from Marina Hacienda del Mar as they travel to Isla Mujeres, if you’re 45 minutes boat ride from Cancun. The Boat rides are good indications of what’s going to happen once you get to the resort’ s long and winding dock, which is known for its lack of a full bar and butler service.

A friendly welcome Staff members wait on the docks to greet guests with warm smiles and a refreshing drink, while staff members are waiting for an arrival. You can see from here that the property is everything luxury beachside vacation dreams are made of.

Visitors will be able to look up from the docks to admire the design-forward hotel, with its woven domed roof and undulating exterior complementing the cascade of greenery around the property. If you mix this up with the turquoise waters surrounding Isla Mujeres, and that’s a bit of the idyllic scene.

Visitors walk up several sets of stairs (there is an elevator option, too) that wind past multiple ocean-facing pools before passing through a series of beautiful archways into an open-air hall to check-in desks. Under cavernous domed ceilings and warm, calming lights here, the breeze is fresh and staff smiles are plentiful. Assuming you aren’t yet in a state of total relaxation before check-in, then the moment you go up the stairs to your suite is that Impression Isla Mujeres is blessedly an all-suite property.

The rooms

ELLIE NAN STORCK/THE POINTS GUY

The resort has 12 suite categories, from the base-level Junior Suite King category to the grand Presidential Suites with 123 total accommodations on the property (which is well spread out, given the overall size of the grounds). I had the pleasure of staying with Mayan Tub in a Signature Junior Suite Double Ocean Front which was so big at 764 square feet.

The design and layout of the room was deliberately’successive, fittingly serene’ as it is known for the tranquility throughout the resort. A hallway in an arched staircase led to the main bedroom area, with neutral tones and natural materials (such as stone walls and woven textiles)). It was a particularly relaxing space, with soft lighting like the atmospheric light in the open-air lobby that made it feel so calm an ideal setting for sand beachside vacation.

I thought the facilities would be over-the-top this is a luxury all-inclusive resort after all – but it took me away more than I expected. The program, called Impression, has a generous Endless Privileges (all part of nightly rate, of course) in the in-room amenities department that really goes above and beyond. perks for Endless Privileges include.

  • Butler service from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • No set check-in or checkout time (subject to availability)
  • Complimentary laundry service (three items per person, per stay)
  • In-suite minibar refreshed twice a day, welcome bottle of tequila and in-suite wine cooler stocked with personal favorites

(The full list can be found on the hotel’s website.)

It had a nice chic seating area, with welcome treats waiting for the drinks.’ I was delighted to see if there was ‘fresh fruit juice water soda and local Mexican beer fridges filled with fresh fruit drink, coffee and even some of the locally produced wine in Mexico? Five full-size bottles of liquor were also available, including tequila whiskey and vodka. There was a small Nespresso machine that meant coffee just the click of’button away’, and there was even. wine cooler with several bottles chilling on arrival (the same thing as if it had been in – but not all) when we arrived at our door to drink this cold water. Snacks, too, were also stored in the cupboard next to the minifridge.

A sultry light, fluffy towels and a stone-and-glass shower with rainfall showerhead and Le Labo bath products were all the touches that made up the bathroom as well as the incense, facial mist and bug repellent.

It’s my favorite spot on the terrace to be was the soaking tub (which can go from cool water, depending upon your preference) with partially covered wooden Slats that let just enough sunshine through. The large stone walls on each side of this space separated you from neighbouring guests, and a dense forest in front of the wall made this private — but to my delight there was no view if you stood at edge the tiered infinity pools visible to the right and that sea-glimmering ocean stretched out beyond.

Dining and drinks at Impression Isla Mujeres

I’ve been to all-inclusive resorts for the past. But I was not sure what he would be eating, but colleagues told me that Impression brand is good at this department and can confirm it has a reputation well earned. It’s a good thing to say that with seven restaurants and five lively bars, the dining is so plentiful you might not even have time to try them all out.

ELLIE NAN STORCK/THE POINTS GUY

I had a chance to try some of the restaurants but when I got in touch with them, I thought that the Mexican food was by far the best. That’s what I tried at Impression Isla Mujeres The other options were impressive, too – but the rest were good.

Spezia

Spezia is home to a seasonal menu of Italian food and cuisine. But here we had a great pizza diavola with mozzarella, serrano pepper and spicy salami. A delicious beef carpaccio with fresh arugula and large slices of delightfully nutty Parmesan was also tried. It is a restaurant on sandstone beach-side terrace, so there’s rekindling breeze and the abundance of candlelight gives you an especially romantic feel.

La Vista

ELLIE NAN STORCK/THE POINTS GUY

Besides the Mexican restaurant La Vista, which serves Mexican food, it also has a terrace location with ocean views that is perfectly combined with the original Mexican menu. My favorite restaurant was this by far, and I like fresh ceviche, fish tacos and “trilogy of sopes” — small corn cakes with seasoned savory toppings such as beans, chicken and beef.

A large, moodily lit steakhouse called Wildfire Grill was we able to enjoy a private dinner in the wine cellar — which I would highly recommend for an intimate affair. A steakhouse succulent grilled vegetables, generous pours of wine from an extensive wine list and, of course, beautiful cuts to perfection.

Unik’s guests take the elevator up to the rooftop space (including an infinity pool, a bar and plenty of seating) where views are plentiful and the food is fresh. Unik serves breakfast by day, light tapas such as ceviche (my favorite) and guacamole. Dinner As the sun rises, dinner service serves a globally inspired la carte menu with an array of live DJ under star backdrop to set up for.

The slang of amenities and other ways to spend time at Impression Isla Mujere, is true. Some of these are the best.

  • Pure Spa offers massages, facials, access to hydrotherapy (including a traditional hammam), salon services and more.
  • Guests can expect a complimentary 20-minute wellness experience per person, per stay.
  • Afternoon tea service is available daily from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • There are plenty of planned activities throughout the day, from performances to classes and even tequila tastings.
  • The on-site gym features plenty of cardio equipment, weights for lifting and space for yoga and stretching.
There is a restaurant (Unik) and an open-air bar on the rooftop, as well as one infinity pool that runs the length of the building; this view can be considered among the best views on island Island.
WaterGuests can enjoy the main infinity pool (including a swim-up bar), ‘horse of infraternal interracial pool, large hot tub pool and direct ocean access from the beach and docks’. The resort offers sunscreen and fresh towels at all swimming grounds, with loungers stocked.

Accessibility

ELLIE NAN STORCK/THE POINTS GUY

Impression Isla Mujeres offers wheelchair-accessible entrances, hallways and elevators.

In accessible rooms, there are visual alarms, grab rail and lowered switches and outlets. No pool lifts at any of the resort’s pools were visible to me as I was not able to see them.

As always, we recommend that you call the resort before booking to ensure that it meets your needs.

How much Impression Isla Mujeres costs and how to book it

ELLIE NAN STORCK/THE POINTS GUY

Hyatt’s all-inclusive resort collection includes Impression Isla Mujeres, a Category F Hyantt property in Hyatett’s entire family of resorts. Standard room rates for standard room bookings start at 42,000 World of Hyatt points per night on off-peak dates, 50,000 points each night (standard date) and 58,000 points every night (58) nights. TPG estimates that World of Hyatt points are worth 1. 1 cent per .

Looking at the next six months, I saw cash rates as low as about $1,300 per night.

Impression Isla Mujere, when booking Impress I’m going to use one of the credit cards that earns you the most points for Hyatt stays or one that gives you World of Hyaattes elite status automatically on a value-added basis. They also include.

  • World of Hyatt Credit Card

For example, (see rates and fees) 4 points per dollar spent at Hyatt hotels and resorts, automatic Discoverist status; five elite night credits per year for a higher tier hotel.

  • World of Hyatt Business Credit Card

See rates and fees 4 points per dollar spent at Hyatt hotels and resorts, automatic Discoverist status (five elite night credits per year) for a higher tier-level hotel; see tags and charges.

Checking out

ELLIE NAN STORCK/THE POINTS GUY

As a hotel editor with little experience in the world of all-inclusive resorts, I can say that Impression Isla Mujeres set the bar high very high. It’s not watered-down cocktails or unimaginable buffet-style food here; instead, the resort staff ensures that the quality of food and drinks are consistently high. But besides that, the service was impeccable from the very friendly staff at the check-in desk to our wonderful personal butlers and restaurants, bars and common spaces.

So if this is what everyone can go on vacations, then I get the hype. If you’re looking for an ultrarelaxing place where you really don’t have to think about much of anything (other than reapply sunscreen and choosing which restaurant is worth your World of Hyatt points) Impression Isla Mujeres.
