One of the most iconic properties in Scottsdale, Arizona is the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort (formerly known as the HyATt Regency Scottsdale resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch). A new era The resort is ready for a new age after finishing ’24 million renovations at the end of 2024′ fresh off.

TPG recently got to take a peek inside this reimagined, rebranded Hyatt. Here’s what it’s like.

What is the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort?

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is 20 minutes north of Grand Hyatt Scottsdale, which can be reached easily from state Route 101 and Scottsdale Road.

A full renovation The resort has emerged from a complete refurbishment of the McDowell Mountains with 496 rooms featuring modern amenities and scenic views. The re-launched concept was now featuring six new restaurant ideas from top to bottom “Top Chef Richard Blais (winner of ” Top Chef All-Stars” and judge on “Next Level Chef”), award winning Spa Aviana in an impressive space designed by architect Vernon Swaback, Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice. The latter also has 19 treatment rooms and a private pool, as well as facilities like the .

Mountain views meet meticulous design in the guest rooms

I stayed at this place in the room of king mountain view, where modern design is combined with a soothing palette of gray-green tones accented with leather and marble.

The shrewdest details were in abundance, from the built-in storage bench (which doubled as a luggage rack) under the large flat-screen TV to ‘an entire coffee and tea bar and minifridge unit with marble countertop and brass hardware’.

The large closet was full of plush bathrobes, slippers and travel essentials (not a clothes steamer but I could easily request one from housekeeping) while the bathroom had ‘walk-in shower with crisp white tiling and vanity lighting; Balmain Paris bath amenities’.

A settling in easy-to-use room was made possible by practical touches such as ample charging outlets throughout the room. This oversized armless chair, which was designed for one to three guests and became a comfortable twin bed with its doubled as stylish seating around the marble table – perfect in between an informal predinner snack or glass of wine.

An east-facing patio with a table and chairs was furnished with an elevator, which opened to’slid glass door’ into. The location was a prime place for waking up early, or watching the sun rise with smug of coffee in hand overlooking at the McDowell Mountains and Gainey Ranch Golf Course.

The resort’s dining scene is anchored by six new ideas from celebrity chef Richard Blais, which includes guests with club access or World of Hyatt Globalist status who can enjoy morning breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres. But while I wish we had time to try them all, the highlights of our stay were an elegant Italian dinner at La Zozzona (and later a leisure breakfast at Mesa Centrale) outside on its patio with one cozy fire pit on brisk morning).

A notable exception is the Italian restaurant La Zozzona by Richard Blais that draws resort guests and locals for an effortless warm, polished dining experience. A little aperitivi and Italian soda mix of home made spritz ($18) will make you enjoy your own vibrant sprink (and then shareable starters such as ‘little gem salad,$17) and crispy mozzarella with Calabrian chili honey ($19), both of which impressed us.

It was the epitome of Italian comfort food that made up its main entree choices the braised lamb shank with creamy polenta ($64) and the linguine withclams in scampi butter ($29) were both deeply satisfying. Throughout the meal, service was attentive and seamless. The magic words were “It’s just two!” When it was time for dessert, our server said ‘The tableside tiramisu ($14) and the Sicilian cannoli with citrus ricotta and pistachio gelato ($13) were an end to a wonderful dinner.

It was a fun, satisfying start to the day for breakfast at Mesa Centrale with . All-day The all-night restaurant serves brunch and breakfast to lunch and dinner, with kids also available.

In addition to strong coffee and lattes, standout morning dishes such as blue corn pancakes ($24) and huevos rancheros ($26), indoor and outdoor seating with mountain views and fire pits, of course – made it an attractive place to hang out.

Since Hyatt hotels are so affordable, I’m now my go-to place for award stays. From 21,000 points per night to the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale, a beautiful property with great service and lots of amenities that has been awarded award redemptions for its grandhorr-style properties — an absence from mind-blowing stay here. It’s a price that really doesn’t go down with you for this experience, especially .
