Marriott Bonvoy Bevy® American Express® Card is a notable exception when I size up the list of credit cards for Marriott bonvoy loyalists. Despite the fact that you can earn a good Marriott point with this card, many of its benefits areluster.
The Marriott Bonvoy Bevy is also designed to offer mid-tier perks for cardmembers staying with Marriott for $250 annual fee (see rates and fees) as well as the hotel’s Mid-level benefits. Yet, with a high spending requirement for the free night award and no additional statement credits to offset this fee, it is far less than expected of card.
While some travelers may think the Bevy is worth it, you’re probably better off with another Marriott cobranded card. Still, just look at the card’s advantages and see if it might be good for you. s **Card rating* ** ‘***,.

Compared to the card’s annual fee, these benefits are lessluster than they have been given as there is no free night award or any built-in statement credits.
Rewards : Cardmembers earn Marriott Bonvoy points for spending on the Bevy.
According to TPG’s valuations of Marriott points in March 2026, they are worth 0. 1 cent per . These points can be used for award nights, experiences, gift cards, merchandise and room credits. A Marriott point can also be transferred from your points to one of its airline transfer partners for travel redemptions.
I highly recommend using your Marriott points for hotel stays, since that’s most likely the highest-value option for most.

Marriott Bonvoy Bevy benefits
Despite the fact that this mid-tier card is full suite of premium Marriott benefits, it’s not exactly where you should expect to be at your annual fee threshold but by the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy.
Automatic Gold Elite status
As soon as you get the Bonvoy Bevy, you’ll be awarded Marriott Gold Elite status. This is a mid-level level of Marriott’s program, with benefits such as.
- Enhanced room upgrades (subject to availability)
- Complimentary in-room Wi-Fi

Bonus points
Cardmembers earn 1,000 bonus Marriott points for every paid eligible stay booked directly with Marriott.

NICKY KELVIN/THE POINTS GUY
Per TPG’s valuations, these bonus points are worth $7.
Elite night credits boost
You can’t go to the Bevy for qualifying for elite status, but if you qualify and get 15 elite qualifying night credits per calendar year.
This can be stacked against the nights you earn with a Marriott small-business card (e.g., an American Express® Card) that fast-tracks to upto 30 elite nights.
Just for example, you have to spend 50 nights a year to qualify for Platinum Elite status, the next tier up from Gold Elite.
Spending-based free night award
I have the biggest problem with this Bevy benefit, which is this? Unlike s, you don’t get a free annual free night award for $250 annually.
cardmembers should have made at least $15,000 in eligible purchases during the calendar year instead to win a free night award. The prize, which is worth as much as 50,000 points at participating hotels (some hotels have resort fees) are up to this award.
It’s a $350-per-tpg free night award that is worth up to $350,000, according to Per TPG’S valuations. This award can be extended further by putting up to 25,000 points on your redemption, giving you the ability to cover a night of as much as 75,000 points.

How to earn and use Marriott points
Marriott Bonvoy Bevy When you pay with the Marriott, you’ll earn Marriott points to redeem with that brand and some loyalty partners.
Earning points
When cardmembers pay with the Bevy, here’s what they’ll earn:
- 6 points per dollar spent on eligible purchases at hotels participating in the Marriott Bonvoy program
Combined purchases at restaurants worldwide and U.S., are combined with * 4 points per dollar spent on the first $15,000 per year in total purchases of this type by * 4. s S supermarkets (upgrade 2 points per dollar spent) and s. - 2 points per dollar spent on other eligible purchases
If you’re given a 4 at the valuation of Per TPG, per TPD. Marriott Bonvoy 2% return, 2x? 8 per cent of 8% on the first $15,000-a-year in combined purchases at restaurants worldwide and U.S.” S. The supermarkets and 1. on all purchases, 4% of s.

LAUREN WASSUM/THE POINTS GUY
When a cardmember adds in the 10 points that they earn to be an associate of Marriott Bonvoy, it gets six point from cards membership and up to 2 points. Assuming you can earn up to 18 points for 5 points per dollar spent through Gold Elite status, if you’re on the list. During your stay, you were given 5 points per dollar for the money spent on staying with .
I think these earning rates are solid, but can’t just justify the card’s annual fee. And plus, the $15,000 spending limit on U.S. S, meanwhile. This is a far cry from ideal supermarkets and restaurants, as the card costs $250 per year.
Redeeming points
When it comes to redeeming Marriott points, it’s natural that the most valuable redemptions are for hotel stays.
Marmar Bonvoy Award prices are dynamic and variable, with Marriott Bonvis using dynamic award pricing. That is, so many points required for a night at any property can vary depending on timing and demand.
If you’re looking for the best deal for your Marriott points, it’s a good idea to go ahead and look up so that I can find cheaper prices and stay flexible on my dates.
In addition to hotel stays, you can transfer your points to airline partners; use them for flights, car rentals and cruises; or redeem them with merchandise and gift cards.

ERIC ROSEN/THE POINTS GUY
Yet, these options will likely be less valuable at the point of view than TPG’s valuation 0 is worth. So we suggest that you should stay with your points whenever possible, as he says 7 cents per point.
Hundreds of Marriott properties are there to redeem your points at the Marriott, Paraphrasingr. In the summer, former TPG credit cards writer Chris Nelson smashed 37,000 points to book a night at The St in order to make his first appearance at this year’s show. Regis Belgrade, where the cash was $375. It sold for nearly 1 cent per point, much more than we valued Marriott points.
Meanwhile, TPG lead points and miles writer Katie Genter earn outsize value from her Marriott points by redeeming them for stays in increments of five nights to maximize Marriott’s “Stay for 5, Pay for 4” benefit. She’ll sometimes consider transferring points to one of Marriott’s airline partners, but usually saves her points for stays.
Transferring points
It’s generally recommended that you redeem your Marriott points for hotel stays, but if you do, you can transfer your points to over 35 airline partners.
Yet it’s not a good value, except you have to top off an account balance for flight redemptions. It’s also a good option if you want to get an airline loyalty program that doesn’t partner with any of the major U.S. president or CEO, and may be one of those options? S. Where the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy falls short
Most Marriott fans have a number of reasons to consider another cobranded card instead of the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy. Here are three of the most important notes here .
You have to spend $15,000 for a free night award
That’s why this is the only fair mention of the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card (see rates and fees) offering an annual free night certificate regardless of spending. For example, the Marriott Boundless costs $95 per year $155 less for an advantage you don’t have to pay toward.
But a fact that is not to be confused with Bevy’s free night award, the Boundless has an estimated 35,000 points (15,000 short of the Free Night Award). Nevertheless, you can top the Boundless award off with 25,000 points to over 50,000 (some hotels have resort fees)

EMILIA WRONSKI/THE POINTS GUY
factor in how you have to pay $15,000 for a similar perk on ‘250-annual-feer card like the Bevy’ and this card is simply outclassed by its less expensive brother.
It also offers a free night award of up to 85,000 points (some hotels have resort fees) as well as the top-tier Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card, which is an elite and high-end hotel with no restrictions on its stay. Yet, this card is in a far more expensive $650 annual fee (see rates and fees)
You can’t spend your way to a higher elite status
While you can keep your way to elite status (as boosted by 15 credits per year), you’re not going down the next tier up on actually spending that card, which is a perk we have seen similar cards from other brands.

LAUREN WASSUM/THE POINTS GUY
This is also a mid-tier card for Hilton loyalists, the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card. Cards are also given free Hilton Gold status, which allows cardmembers to spend their way toward top-tier Diamond status.
The Surpass charges $150 in annual fees (see rates and fees) $100 less than the Bevy.
You won’t receive statement credits that offset the annual fee
Though some of the Bevy’s perks are worth it, it is disappointing not to see one premium perk or statement credit designed to offset its annual fee.
Several other similar cobranded cards offer an application fee waiver for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck, and even provide quarterly brand specific statement credits for on-property purchases. On the Bevy, you won’t get that on your .
Bonvoy Bevy vs. Bonvoy Bountiful
The card most similar to the Bevy is the Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful® Credit Card, which is a type of credit card that has been issued since 2004. For the same annual fee, it provides the highest earning rates, Gold Elite status and elite night credits per calendar year.
The Points Guy, has independently collected the information for the Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful card. This page has not reviewed or provided the card issuer with any information about their card details, nor had it been submitted.
No card offers a night certificate with card membership for free, but both cards provide the same. You have to spend $15,000 on your card in a calendar year for both, so you can earn one of the cards.
The most notable difference is that the Bountiful earns bonus points at supermarkets outside of the U.S., excluding the Bunnitifu. A , S. the Bevy doesn’t.

When to apply for the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy
Possibly one of the main reasons to apply for the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy at all is its welcome offer, as earning a bonus quickly kills your account for re-entertainment.
The Bonvoy Bevy offer is the current one, so if you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first six months of card membership, you can earn 175,000 bonus points.
Per TPG’s valuations, those 175,000 bonus points are worth $1,225.

ANDREA ROTONDO/THE POINTS GUY
It’s a great bonus and the best we have ever seen in this card history, so it is now absolutely time to apply for that very good deal.
Just keep in mind that Amex has restrictions on you getting a new-member bonus if you’ve had similar Marriott products from Chase or previous Starwood Preferred Guest cards from American Express?

Bottom line
Marriott card lineup The Bonvoy Bevy isn’t the strongest option in terms of a candidate for the Bonjour Bevery. But I can’t understand the way its ongoing benefits justify a $250 annual fee, especially when you look at its cobranded counterparts.
If you want baseline Marriott benefits, go for the Bonvoy Boundless. If you prefer luxury, apply for the Bonvoy Brilliant.
But if you get points from this card, so unless that’s your priority, there is also a way to find value here.”
